Propylparaben is a highly effective, wide-spectrum preservative used to prevent microbial growth. This USP/NF Grade crystalline powder is preferred for its stability and low toxicity.

It is particularly effective against yeasts and molds in High-Purity cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations. It remains active over a broad pH range, ensuring long-term shelf-life stability.

As a Cosmetic Grade antimicrobial, it is often used in combination with other paraben esters. Its low solubility is managed through oil-phase incorporation or specific salt formation.
