Tertbutyl Benzothiazole Sulfenamide (TBBS) is a high-efficiency Technical Grade delayed-action primary accelerator for rubber vulcanization. With 98% min purity, it is engineered for high-speed industrial processing where scorch safety is paramount.
This light-yellow powder or granular material provides an excellent balance between processing safety and rapid curing at vulcanization temperatures. It is widely used in sulfur-cured systems to achieve high-modulus physical properties.
TBBS is highly effective in tire manufacturing, particularly for carcass and tread compounds where long scorch times are required during extrusion. It is considered a modern, high-activity alternative to traditional sulfenamide accelerators.
