Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a white, amphoteric powder exhibiting UV absorption, thermal stability, and antimicrobial activity. It can be produced via direct (French) or indirect (American) processes.
Zinc Oxide
Used in rubber vulcanization, ceramics, pigments, sunscreens, and pharmaceuticals. It enhances UV protection in personal care and improves mechanical strength in rubber and coatings.
Low toxicity but may cause irritation via inhalation. Avoid high-temperature exposure to prevent fume generation.
