Agar agar is a natural polysaccharide derived from red seaweeds (Gelidium, Gracilaria). It forms strong gels even at low concentrations and remains stable across pH variations.
Agar Agar
Used in food as a gelling and thickening agent, in microbiological media as a solidifying base, and in cosmetics as a film-former. It is also applied in pharmaceutical capsules and confectionery products.
Non-toxic and allergen-free. Inhalation of powder may cause transient irritation; handle with dust control.
Delivered in 20–25 kg paper or kraft bags with PE liners. Store dry, sealed, and away from humidity.
