Sulphur Mono Chloride is a golden-yellow to reddish-brown oily liquid available in Technical Grade, characterized by its sharp, suffocating odor. It is a highly reactive inorganic compound that fumes in moist air and reacts violently with water.

This product is a critical Chlorinating Agent and sulfur source, maintaining a high Purity of 98%. It is primarily used for the cold vulcanization of rubber and the synthesis of organic sulfur compounds in the pharmaceutical industry.

In polymer science, it acts as a cross-linking agent for specialized elastomers and synthetic resins. Its Intermediary Role is vital for the production of insecticides, dyes, and sulfur-based chemical additives.

Sulphur Mono Chloride

  • Rubber Vulcanization: Utilized in the “cold” vulcanization process for thin rubber goods like gloves and balloons.
  • Chemical Synthesis: Serves as a key intermediate in the production of sulfur dyes, herbicides, and pharmaceutical precursors.
  • Additives Production: Used to manufacture extreme-pressure (EP) additives for high-performance lubricants and cutting oils.

Classified as Fatal if Swallowed, Skin Corrosion 1A, and Acute Toxicity 4. Use Butyl Rubber Gloves and Full-Face Respirator.

200 L Steel Drums, 1000 L IBC Tanks, and specialized ISO tanks.
