Boric acid (H₃BO₃) is a white crystalline solid with mild antiseptic and buffering properties. It dissolves moderately in water and glycerol, forming weakly acidic solutions.

Boric Acid

Used in glass and fiberglass manufacturing, ceramics, and metallurgy. In cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, it functions as an antimicrobial and pH stabilizer. Also employed in lubricants, insecticides, and flame retardants.

Low toxicity but prolonged exposure should be avoided. Inhalation of dust may cause respiratory irritation. Handle with gloves and eye protection.

Delivered in 25 kg PE-lined kraft bags or drums. Store in a cool, dry place away from strong bases and oxidizing agents.
