Sodium lauryl sarcosinate, also known as sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, is a white to off-white powder or liquid with formula C15H28NNaO3 and molecular weight 293.38 g/mol. It has a density of about 1.03 g/cm³ in solution, pH 7.5-8.5, and is freely soluble in water, forming mild foaming solutions. Derived from sarcosine (N-methylglycine) and lauroyl chloride, it is an amino acid-based anionic surfactant with good biodegradability and low toxicity.

Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate

Used in personal care as a mild surfactant in shampoos, cleansers, and toothpastes; enhances hair sheen and body; in anti-corrosion formulations, foaming agents, and industrial cleaners for better efficacy.

Mild irritant to eyes and skin; low toxicity but avoid inhalation of dust or prolonged contact. Biocompatible; stable with chlorine; use ventilation and PPE to minimize exposure risks.

Packaged in 25kg bags or drums with inner liners; for disposal, rinse containers and offer for recycling or puncture for landfill disposal per regulations.
