Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (C₁₂–C₁₆ AOS) is an anionic surfactant derived from linear alpha olefins. It offers excellent foaming, detergency, and biodegradability, making it a preferred alternative to traditional sulfates.
Alpha Olefin Sulfonate
Used in personal care products, household detergents, and industrial cleaners. It provides good hard-water tolerance and mildness in formulations such as shampoos and body washes.
Low acute toxicity but may cause skin or eye irritation in concentrated form. Avoid aerosol formation during mixing.
Available in 200 kg drums or IBC tanks as 35–40% active solutions. Store at ambient temperature, sealed and protected from freezing.
