Potassium silicate is a colorless to white crystalline solid or viscous liquid composed of potassium oxide and silicon dioxide. It forms alkaline aqueous solutions with strong binding and heat-resistant properties.
Potassium Silicate
Used in adhesives, refractories, and coatings as a binder and corrosion inhibitor. In agriculture, it serves as a silicon fertilizer enhancing plant strength and pest resistance. It also functions as a water glass in metal cleaning and fireproofing compounds.
Corrosive in concentrated form; avoid contact with skin and eyes. Handle with gloves and eye protection.
Delivered in 25 kg paper bags or 200 kg drums. Store in cool, dry, and sealed conditions, away from acids and moisture.
