Potassium Fluorosilicate (CAS 16871-90-2) is an inorganic fluorosilicate salt supplied as a fine white crystalline powder containing about 60% fluorine, with low solubility in cold water, and is used in aluminum and magnesium metallurgy, glass etching, enamel and ceramic manufacturing, and insecticidal formulations. It has low solubility in cold water and decomposes above 300 °C, releasing hydrogen fluoride.

Potassium Fluorosilicate
Applications
Used in aluminum and magnesium metallurgy, glass etching, and enamel manufacturing. In ceramics, it acts as an opacifier and fluxing material. It also finds application in rust removers and insecticidal formulations.

Packaging
