Ammonium chloride (NH₄Cl) is a white crystalline salt produced as a by-product of the Solvay process. It provides both ammonium and chloride ions, making it valuable in metal treatment and buffer systems.

Ammonium Chloride

Used as a flux in galvanizing, tinning, and soldering, in dry-cell batteries as an electrolyte, and as a nitrogen source in fertilizers and pharmaceuticals.

Irritating to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract; handle with ventilation and PPE. Avoid mixing with strong bases to prevent ammonia release.

25 kg plastic-lined kraft bags or bulk sacks; store in cool, dry areas to avoid moisture uptake.
