Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate [(NH₄)₆Mo₇O₂₄·4H₂O] is a water-soluble molybdenum compound used in catalysts, coatings, and corrosion control systems.
Ammonium Molybdate
Acts as a precursor for molybdenum-based catalysts and pigments, and as a micronutrient in fertilizers. It is also used in plating baths, lubricants, and polymer stabilizers to enhance performance.
Low acute toxicity but may cause irritation on prolonged contact. Avoid dust generation and direct skin exposure. Prevent discharge to waterways due to metal ion content.
25 kg polyethylene-lined bags or fiber drums. Store dry and tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption and caking.
