Myristic Acid is a high-purity saturated fatty acid (C14) derived from vegetable sources like palm kernel oil. This Cosmetic Grade solid is essential for producing high-lathering soaps and cleansing creams.

It reacts with alkalis to form myristate soaps, which provide a dense, stable foam and excellent cleansing properties. In skincare, it acts as an emollient, helping to soften the skin while enhancing the penetration of other active ingredients.

Beyond cosmetics, it is used in the synthesis of isopropyl myristate and other specialty esters for the lubricant industry. It maintains a 99% Purity level to ensure consistent performance in sensitive chemical formulations.

Myristic Acid
  • Cleansing Formulations: Essential for shaving creams, face washes, and bar soaps to provide rich, creamy foam.
  • Ester Synthesis: Used as a raw material for Isopropyl Myristate (IPM), a widely used cosmetic solvent and emollient.
  • Industrial Lubricants: Utilized in the production of metallic soaps and specialty greases for high-load applications.
