Oleic acid is a clear to pale-yellow monounsaturated fatty acid derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. It is insoluble in water but miscible with alcohols and hydrocarbons.
Oleic Acid
Used in cosmetics, lubricants, and surfactants as an emulsifier and emollient. In food and pharmaceuticals, it functions as a carrier oil and solubilizer. It’s also a key intermediate in ester and soap production.
