Potassium Ethyl Xanthate
Primarily used in the mining industry as a flotation collector for sulfide ores such as copper, zinc, and lead. It enhances separation efficiency and recovery rates in mineral beneficiation. Also employed in the synthesis of rubber accelerators, agrochemicals, and lubricant additives.
Decomposes to form carbon disulfide, a flammable gas; handle under ventilation. Avoid skin contact and open flames. Classified as hazardous to aquatic environments.
Delivered in 25 kg drums, woven sacks, or 1,000 kg IBC tanks with moisture barriers. Store in cool, dry, and well-ventilated conditions away from heat and acids.
