Sodium sulfhydrate, also known as sodium hydrosulfide, is a colorless to yellow flake or liquid with formula NaHS and molecular weight 56.06 g/mol. Density 1.79 g/cm³, melting point 350°C (decomposes); soluble in water releasing H2S, pungent odor. Produced by reacting sodium sulfide with hydrogen sulfide.

Sodium Sulfhydrate

Used in leather tanning for dehairing, dyes manufacturing, pulp processing, mining for ore flotation, and wastewater treatment.

Corrosive, toxic if swallowed or inhaled; releases H2S gas with acids. Flammable; Hazard Class 8/4.2; use PPE, ventilation.

In 25kg iron drums or bags with liners; rinse triply for recycling or puncture for disposal.
