Trehalose
Trehalose is regarded as a safe and gentle ingredient for topical application, well tolerated by all skin types. No cases of skin reactions have been reported. The advantage of trehalose is to protect proteins from chemical reactions: denaturation and inactivation. These reactions can be caused by freezing, dehydration, or high temperatures.
