Methanesulfonic Acid (MSA) is a powerful, non-oxidizing organic acid provided as a 70% solution or anhydrous form. It is recognized as a “green” acid due to its biodegradability and lower environmental impact.

Compared to traditional mineral acids, MSA offers high thermal stability and superior solubility for metal salts. It is a highly efficient catalyst in esterification and alkylation reactions in chemical processing.

This Technical Grade acid is non-fuming and easy to handle in industrial settings, reducing equipment corrosion. Its high ionic conductivity makes it a premier choice for electroplating and modern battery applications.

Methanesulfonic Acid
  • Electroplating: Acts as a high-performance electrolyte for tin, lead, and precious metal plating in electronics.
  • Industrial Cleaning: Used in scale removal and hard surface cleaners where high efficacy and low VOC are required.
  • Chemical Synthesis: Serves as a catalyst for the production of esters, polymers, and pharmaceutical intermediates.

Strongly corrosive; classified as Skin Corrosion Category 1B. Mandatory use of acid-resistant aprons, face shields, and heavy-duty PVC gloves during transfer.

30 kg jerrycans, 250 kg drums, or 1200 kg IBC tanks.
