Vitex Extract

Vitex Extract (CAS 91722-47-3) is a botanical extract from Vitex agnus-castus berries, supplied as a brown powder or liquid standardized to 0.5-5% agnusides or 0.6% amentoflavone, and is used in supplements for hormonal balance, in pharmaceuticals for hormone therapy and in cosmetics for skin calming. It has a characteristic herbal odor, soluble in ethanol and water, standardized to 0.5-5% agnusides or 0.6% amentoflavone. Density around 1.2 g/cm³, pH 4-6 in solution; produced by solvent extraction or supercritical CO2, used for hormonal balance in supplements.
