Zinc Mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT), CAS 155-04-4, is an organometallic zinc salt of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole supplied as a Technical Grade white to off-white solid of 97% minimum purity, used as a secondary accelerator in latex dipping and industrial rubber compounding. Boasting 97% min purity, it provides excellent aging resistance and high modulus results.

This light-yellow powder is highly effective when used in combination with dithiocarbamates in latex dipping processes. It helps stabilize the vulcanization rate and prevents pre-cure of the latex during storage.

In industrial rubber compounding, ZMBT serves as a non-staining synergistic accelerator, improving the physical properties of natural rubber and EPDM vulcanizates. It is particularly valued for its low odor and high chemical stability in complex formulations
