Dioctyl Maleate (CAS 142-16-5), also known as bis(2-ethylhexyl) maleate, is a colorless, odorless liquid ester of maleic acid that serves as a plasticizer and as a comonomer in resins, adhesives and PVC film and cable compounds. Density 0.94 g/cm³, boiling point 211-220°C, flash point >110°C, refractive index 1.450. Insoluble in water, soluble in organics; odorless, used as plasticizer and monomer in resins.
