Ethylhexyl Dimethyl PABA (CAS 21245-02-3), also known as Padimate O, is an oil-soluble organic UV-B filter supplied in Cosmetic Grade as an off-white to orange viscous liquid that absorbs ultraviolet radiation in the 290-315 nm range and is used in sunscreens, lip balms and anti-aging creams. It is a pale yellow, viscous liquid that is insoluble in water but highly soluble in cosmetic oils.

This Cosmetic Grade active ingredient is highly effective at absorbing ultraviolet radiation in the 290-315 nm range. It provides excellent photostability and helps prevent erythema (sunburn) in topical applications.

Due to its oil solubility, it is easily incorporated into sunscreens, lip balms, and anti-aging creams. It is valued for its emollient properties, which contribute to the skin-feel of finished cosmetic products.
