Dimethicone (CAS 9006-65-9) is a polydimethylsiloxane silicone polymer supplied as a colorless to slightly yellow neat liquid, used as a skin conditioning agent and protectant in personal care formulations and as an antifoaming agent and lubricant in automotive and industrial processing. Our Cosmetic Grade fluids are available in various viscosities to provide a smooth, silky feel to topical formulations. This polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) acts as a superior skin protectant , forming a non-greasy breathable barrier that prevents transepidermal water loss. In hair care, it provides brilliant shine and significantly reduces flyaways and friction. It maintains its physical properties across a wide temperature range and is highly resistant to oxidation and chemical degradation.
