Ferrovanadium (CAS 12604-58-9) is an iron-vanadium alloy containing 35-85% vanadium that appears as a gray to black dust, and it is used in steelmaking to raise tensile strength, wear resistance and corrosion performance as well as in high-speed tool steels and aerospace alloys. It appears as gray metallic granules with high strength and hardness properties.
