TriIsobutyl Phosphate (TiBP) (CAS 126-71-6), also known as phosphoric acid triisobutyl ester, is a Technical Grade polar solvent and defoamer that appears as a colorless oil; it is used mainly as an antifoaming agent in construction chemicals and textile processing and as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose and synthetic rubbers. It appears as a colorless liquid with excellent wetting properties and a low viscosity profile across various temperatures. It is highly effective at destroying micro-foam in cementitious systems and synthetic resin emulsions without affecting surface quality. As a Plasticizer , it provides low-temperature flexibility to nitrocellulose and synthetic rubbers. Its hydrophobic nature makes it an excellent choice for improving the water resistance of coatings and inks.
