Applications
Used in high-performance paints, coatings, plastics, ceramics, glass, and cement for long-lasting green tones; applied as an abrasive in polishing compounds; used as a catalyst in specialty processes; incorporated into refractory products; and allowed in select cosmetic applications where regulated.
Safety & Risks
Low acute toxicity but inhalation of fine powders should be minimised. Potential trace hexavalent chromium residues may present long-term inhalation risks. Use dust control, PPE, and appropriate extraction systems.
