Isophoronediamine (CAS 2855-13-2) is a cycloaliphatic diamine supplied as a clear, faintly yellow liquid with a faint amine odor, used mainly as a high-performance epoxy curing agent for industrial floor coatings, composites and polyurethane precursors. It is a colorless liquid with a faint amine odor and excellent chemical stability.
This Technical Grade amine provides cured epoxy resins with exceptional mechanical strength and chemical resistance. It is particularly valued for its ability to produce coatings with high gloss and low yellowing tendencies.
IPDA is also a critical intermediate for the production of Isophorone Diisocyanate (IPDI). Its unique structure allows for controlled reactivity, making it ideal for sophisticated polymer synthesis.
