Sodium Vinylsulfonate (CAS 3039-83-6) is a highly reactive anionic monomer supplied as a 25% aqueous solution, typically a colorless to light yellow liquid, that copolymerizes readily with acrylic acid and acrylamide to build water-soluble polymers for dispersants, scale inhibitors and electroplating additives. Available as a 25% Aqueous Solution , it imparts excellent thermal stability and ionic conductivity to finished polymer systems. This monomer is a critical component in the production of dispersants and scale inhibitors for cooling water circuits. It provides superior leveling and brightening effects when used as an additive in nickel electroplating baths. The sulfonate group of SVS ensures high solubility and hydrophilicity , making it a preferred choice for the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers) industry.
