Zingiber Officinale Root Extract
Ginger Extract is a natural botanical ingredient obtained from Zingiber officinale rhizomes, supplied as a yellow to brown oily liquid or powder with a pungent odor, containing phenolic compounds such as gingerol, shogaol and paradol at total gingerols of 5-10%, and used in supplements, food flavoring and anti-emetic pharmaceuticals. Soluble in ethanol and oils, insoluble in water; density 0.9-1.1 g/cm³, pH 4-6; produced by steam distillation or solvent extraction, used for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
