PPG-20 Methyl Glucose Ether (CAS 61849-72-7) is a Cosmetic Grade propoxylated methyl glucose, a liquid humectant and skin-conditioning agent that binds water to the skin, reduces the sting of alcohol-based formulations, improves cream texture, stabilizes emulsions and fixes fragrance in aftershaves and colognes. It is a propoxylated methyl glucose that offers exceptionally low irritation and a smooth skin-feel.
This liquid ingredient acts as a powerful viscosity modifier and fixative in fragrances. It reduces the "sting" of alcohol-based formulations while providing long-lasting hydration to the skin.
