Saw Palmetto Extract (CAS 84604-15-9) is a dark green oily liquid or powder obtained from Serenoa repens berries, rich in fatty acids such as lauric, myristic and oleic acid and in phytosterols, and standardized to 85-95% fatty acids; it is used in dietary supplements, skin care cosmetics and pharmaceutical applications. Insoluble in water, soluble in organics, with a characteristic odor; standardized to 85-95% fatty acids.
