Hydrogenated castor oil is a white to pale yellow waxy solid with formula C57H110O9 (approximate) and molecular weight around 932 g/mol. Density 0.98 g/cm³, melting point 85-88°C, insoluble in water, soluble in hot organics; hard butter-like, produced by hydrogenation of castor oil, used as lubricant and thickener.

Applications
