Hydrogenated Castor Oil (CAS 61788-85-0) is a waxy solid derived from the hydrogenation of castor oil, appearing white to pale yellow, and is used as a lubricant and thickener in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and plastics. Density 0.98 g/cm³, melting point 85-88°C, insoluble in water, soluble in hot organics; hard butter-like, produced by hydrogenation of castor oil, used as lubricant and thickener.
