Sodium Alkane Sulfonate (SAS) (CAS 68037-49-0) is the sodium salt of a secondary alkane sulfonate, a Technical Grade anionic surfactant valued for wetting and emulsifying power and stable performance in hard water or acidic conditions; it serves as a core component in heavy-duty detergents and industrial cleaners. It provides high electrolyte stability and remains effective even in hard water or acidic conditions. This chemical is available in various concentrations and features excellent degreasing properties . As a versatile surfactant , it is used to stabilize emulsions and improve the penetration of liquids into porous substrates. It offers a low skin irritation profile compared to other strong anionic surfactants.
