Applications
Used in metal cleaning for aluminum etching; in laundry sours for pH lowering; in glass frosting pastes; in electroplating for flux; and in pesticides as active ingredients.
Safety & Risks
Highly toxic causing fluoride burns and hypocalcemia; inhalation leads to pulmonary edema. Provide calcium gluconate antidote; full PPE mandatory per GHS corrosive classifications.
