Used as disinfectant in water treatment, swimming pools, and hospitals; bleaching agent in textiles and paper; in household cleaners and food sanitation.
Corrosive to tissues; releases toxic chlorine gas with acids. Oxidizer, fire risk with combustibles; avoid humidity. Hazard Class 5.1/8; use PPE.
In 25kg drums; store dry, fireproof; rinse triply for recycling or disposal well closed.
