Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (CAS 151-21-3) is a water-soluble surfactant supplied as a white crystalline powder or flakes, produced by sulfation of lauryl alcohol, and it is used as a cleaner and foamer in detergents, in shampoos and other cosmetics, and as an emulsifier in textile processing.
