Calcium Hydroxide (CAS 1305-62-0), also known as slaked lime, is a white, odorless inorganic base obtained by hydrating quicklime that is sparingly soluble in water and forms an alkaline solution, supplied in Food Grade for water treatment, construction mortars, food processing as E526 and agricultural soil pH correction.
