Sodium Stannate (CAS 12058-66-1) is an inorganic tin salt supplied as a Technical Grade white to light tan crystalline trihydrate or anhydrous powder, valued as a soluble tin source for alkaline tin plating, immersion tinning of aluminum alloys, peroxide stabilization and ceramic pigments. It is a vital source of soluble tin, widely utilized in the surface treatment industry for providing a high-quality tin coating on aluminum and other metals.

The product is highly valued for its role in alkaline tin plating, where it offers excellent throwing power and uniform deposition in complex geometries. Its high purity ensures that the resulting coatings are resistant to corrosion and possess superior solderability for electronic components.

In the textile sector, it functions as a mordant and a fire-retardant additive for natural fibers. Its chemical stability and ability to release tin ions in controlled environments also make it useful as a stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide and as a pigment additive in ceramics.
